Infant Program (3 weeks to 16 months)

Lil’ Bloomers Daycare has designed a nurturing, imaginative world for infants to help both their minds and bodies develop.

Infants are unique and have their own patterns for play, feeding and sleeping. Lil’ Bloomers Daycare uses these patterns as our guide to introduce daily activities that will stimulate your child’s cognitive, emotional and physical development. Our dedicated teachers and staff are committed to making this first transition away from home as easy as possible for both you and your child.

Your Infant’s Day at Lil’ Bloomers
It’s no secret that what infants learn during their early months is critical to healthy development. Our teachers at Lil’ Bloomers Daycare provide infants with lots of attention and interaction, building a bond of trust and allowing for this first transition away from home to be easy and natural.

Your Infant’s Daily Schedule

Arrival Time
When the parent and child arrive, a warm greeting will be given by a caregiver.

Morning Activities
As the children grow and learn, infant activities will change according to their individual development. Plenty of time will be allowed for independent exploration, including tummy time and time to crawl and climb on soft furniture. Caregivers will give long periods of devoted time, interacting with each infant throughout the day. During the time of bonding with infants, caregivers will rock, hold, read stories, and talk and sing to the infants. An engaging atmosphere that promotes the physical, intellectual and emotional growth of your child will be provided each and every day at Lil’ Bloomers Daycare.

Rest Time
Infants will nap according to their needs.

Mealtime
Infants are fed according to their needs, with instructions from parents.

Afternoon Time
Infants will be taken outside twice daily, weather permitting. Walks may be taken in special infant-made buggies around the parking lot, our outside time may be spent on the play yard in infant bounce seats, crawl mats, and in swings. Teachers will provide stimulating activities as the babies enjoy the fresh air for short periods of time, under shaded equipment.

Departure
As parents arrive to pick up their children in the evening, caregivers will provide and share details of their child’s day. Any developmental milestones that were achieved will be shared with each parent. A daily information sheet will be sent home each day with details of feedings, diaper changes and sleeping patterns of that particular day.

Toddler Program (16 months to 2 years)

Toddlers enter a whole new world when they take their first steps. They begin walking, talking, and building relationships with each other. Your toddler’s life is full of exploration and discovery as they begin turning their ideas into words and start showing their independence.

Your Toddler’s Day at Lil’ Bloomers
Toddlers learn best by exploring the environment through their senses. Your child will enjoy lots of free choice, participate in activities throughout the classroom, as well as observe and interact with other children. Lil’ Bloomers Daycare respects the characteristics and needs of your toddler. The classroom is designed to encourage young children to use a variety of materials and playthings to learn about themselves. Dramatic play and imitation, planned play activities, and numerous choices enable the toddler to become more independent. The classroom is equipped with appropriate developmental activities such as simple puzzles, books, soft blocks, water and sand play, music, and indoor and outdoor exploration and movement. If weather and outdoor conditions permit, we will be outside twice a day.
