Q: Can I stop in to visit with my child throughout the day?
A: Parents/guardians are a vital part of Lil’ Bloomers Daycare. Parents are always welcome to visit the center at any time to observe or participate in the program. We hold an open-door policy for parents/guardians!
Q: What do I need to pack for my child to eat?
A: Parents are required to furnish a lunch for their preschool/toddler child every day. Parents of infant children are required to provide bottles, formula/breast milk, and baby food. Lil’ Bloomers staff provides a nutritious morning and afternoon snack to preschool/toddler children each day. Snack menus are posted for parents to review each week.
Q: My child isn’t potty trained. Is that OK?
A: Yes! Teachers at Lil’ Bloomers Daycare work with families and children to toilet train when you feel your child is ready!
Q: Can my child bring their favorite toy to daycare?
A: Lil’ Bloomers Daycare asks that parents please do not send toys with their child unless it has been otherwise specified by the child’s teacher. We would hate it if the toy got lost or broken!
Q: My child is sick and needs medication. Can you administer it?
A: Yes! Lil’ Bloomers Daycare has trained staff to administer medication to children. Please make sure that you completely fill out a medication administration consent form before leaving the medication at daycare. All medication is kept in a secure locked container that prevents access to children.
Q: There are wintry conditions outside. Is daycare still open?
A: Before leaving your house on an icy/snowy morning, please call the daycare telephone to confirm that daycare is open. Delays or closings will be posted on the daycare’s voicemail by 5:30 a.m. and updated hourly. You may also check WSVA AM 500 and WHSV TV3 for delays and closings.
