Toni Bowyer, Director
Toni Bowyer graduated from Eastern Mennonite University with a B.S. degree; majoring in Management/ Organizational Developmental and Liberal Arts. She has been working in the childcare field for over 8 years.
Beth Voight, Preschool Teacher
“Grammy” Beth has earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Nursery through Elementary Education (Early Childhood), with minors in music and English, and has completed graduate coursework in Remedial Reading. “Grammy” Beth and her husband, Ed, have been Massanutten residents for nearly 12 years and have 4 children and 7 grandchildren. Beth has enjoyed careers in education and business for more than 30 years.
Yvette Hill, Lead Teacher / Preschool Teacher
Ms. Yvette Hill earned her Bachelor of Science in elementary education with a minor in psychology from Indiana University-Purdue University in Indianapolis. She has been a licensed PreK-8 teacher since 1995. Her experiences range from teaching preschool in an intergenerational daycare facility to teaching in the public schools and being a program leader for an afterschool program. Ms. Yvette and her sons Joshua and Matthew reside in McGaheysville.
Heather Coppock, Infant/ Toddler Teacher
Heather Hensley is a Spotswood High School graduate with a certificate in communication and fine arts. Heather took Spanish as a second language, and she also speaks moderate sign language. Heather has worked in the child care for more than two years, and has recently completed over 30 hours of childcare training.
Regina Merica, Preschool Teacher
Regina Merica graduated from Spotswood High School in 2004 and has worked with children in multiple settings for 8 years. She has recently completed over 24 hours of childcare training. Regina has lived in the McGaheysville area her entire life.
Amanda Peters, Preschool Teacher / Afternoon Teacher
Amanda graduated from James Madison in 2007. I have worked at various daycares and schools in the area including Woodstock United Methodist Child Care Center and the Young Children’s Program. I have been working with children for approximately eight years and looking forward to the years to come!
Kathy Reitz, Infant Morning Aid
I’ve lived in the Valley for 22 years; I have a wonderful Family, including a spoiled cat named Jacob. I have worked with school age children for many years and very much enjoyed it. Working at Lil’ Bloomers is an extension of my compassion for young children in helping them learn and grow.
Carol Berg, Infant Afternoon Teacher
Carol Berg holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Home Economics and Early Childhood Education from Suny Buffalo. She and her husband Jim fulfilled a long-term goal to live in VA when they moved to Elkton three years ago. Carol is pleased to be working with the infants at Lil’ Bloomers after having taught pre-school in upstate NY for 15 years.
Megan Goard-Preschool Aid
Megan is currently a senior a JMU and will graduate with her B.S. degree in Psychology in May 2011. Megan was a volunteer with Big Brothers/Big Sisters and also completed an internship with Mercy House last summer.
Christie Dean- Infant Morning Teacher
Christie resides in Elkton Va with her husband and two children. Christie volunteered in the public schools for 12 years before taking on a teaching assistant position with Rockingham County Schools. She worked as a Kindergarten Teacher’s assistant for 5 years before taking the Infant morning position at Lil’ Bloomers. Christie enjoys spending time with her family, camping, boating and gardening.
